You know how important business development skills are to success in law, right? Now more than ever, rainmaking ability is one of the most critical aspects of practice. Â
Without enough clients, you’re guaranteed to experience stress and worry, not to mention the anxiety of figuring out how to bring in more clients or find some way to make ends meet.Â
Â
You might even be concerned that you’ll lose your job if your law firm’s economics falter, as even some revered firms have experienced in recent months. Or perhaps you won’t advance as quickly as you’d like or to the level you’d prefer, or you’ll find that your options are limited for a lateral move.
Â
What if you could develop strong skills to bring in business? You’d enjoy your practice more, doing the work you like for the clients you like. You’d advance quickly and have more influence within your firm. And you wouldn’t need to worry about continued employment, since rainmakers are key assets for any law firm.
Â
My clients asked for a program that would help to grow your rainmaking skills, and I’ve created two, to match particular needs.  The Rainmaker 101 Mentoring & Mastermind Program will serve aspiring rainmakers with little (or no) knowledge or experience in landing clients, and the Women Rainmakers Mastermind serves female rainmakers with an intermediate or advanced client development experience.  Both groups will begin meeting in January 2009.
Â
The programs are designed to bring together no more than 10 motivated, high-achieving, focused lawyers per group for training, mentoring, and masterminding. You’ll learn what works and what doesn’t in a confidential, supportive atmosphere, and you’ll figure out how to adapt every tactic to your own practice and preferences – all at a small fraction of the cost of working with me one-on-one.
